About
We shared the same rehearsal space as several other local bands, such as The Soul Clinic, Jonathan Johansson, Johan Heltne, etc. In several of these bands, our friend Johan Eckeborn played drums. He had started a studio and record label, so he signed us up and became our drummer.
David Johansson studied at the folk high schools Kaggeholm and Betel in Stockholm and there we met bassists Mattias Andreasson (later a member of EMD) and Adam Börjesson (later bassist in Daniel Adams-Ray and Head of Agency for Live Nation Sweden and Luger). Mattias played with us for a few years and then Adam took over the bass.
This album was recorded in several studios in Uppsala, but mainly in Kjell Lundström‘s “Baracken” (Not Just Another Studio) and finally in Johan’s studio on the pedestrian street in the middle of central Uppsala.

One Thousand Words
© Music & words: Jonatan Samuelsson
My expressions seems so clumsy
And the words I use too poor
I am the man used to speak
Still the same man as before
Loss for words, the silence speaks
Human weakness, now he weeps
But you can hear a different sound
Spoken in tongues to the Almighty One
If I just had one thousand words…
I would try to say…
Describing your complete perfection…
You take my breath away…
The words I use are few
when I am next to You
I am in Your holy sanctuary
No words left in my vocabulary
Ticked off all the good words on my list
Still searching for words that don’t seem to exist
My mind contains no more word
To express what You deserve
If I just had a thousand words…
If I just had a thousand words…
If I just had a thousand words more…
If I just had a thousand words more…

Believe
© Music & words: Lorens Palmgren, David Johansson, Johan Eckeborn
We drifted apart
Maybe you closed your heart?
Let’s take it back to the start
You’ve got to believe in me
It’s such a shame
I think we both lost the game
And I know you feel the same
You’ve got to believe in me
Believe in me
You’ve got to believe in me
Believe in me
Time after time
You are always on my mind
Go ahead and take my hand
You’ve got to believe in me
My arms are open wide
From my love you can’t hide
No from my love you can’t hide!
I know, I know it’s you I want,
and you I need
And your love for me
has made me believe
In the words, in the words
that you spoke to me, yes, you spoke to me
And you made me see
how your love has set me free

Vacuum

When everything is over
When everything is gone
I’ll be waiting
When everything is broken
When everything is lost
I’ll be there
Filled yourself with nonsense
Kept your conscience numb
Like a silent whisper
in the traffic’s hum
I was speaking
A substitute for real life
Wake up now and realize
Won’t you stay a while with me?
Replace this night’s activity
I’m still waiting
I will be there for you
I will be there for you
I will be there for you
I will be there…

True Propaganda
© Music: Jonatan Samuelsson, Peter Dalhoff, Johan Eckeborn
Words: Jonatan Samuelsson, Johan Eckeborn
Accepting a lie, won’t make it a truth
There is a God – you are a living proof
What if I’m right? Then you are wrong
But I really hope that we can get along
Get ready! The truth will be known
Get ready! I’m not alone
Get ready! Truth will be known
Are you ready…
…for the true propaganda?
You need to know the truth!
Spreading true propaganda
You know, we know The Truth
I’m maybe wrong, but I know I’m right
These are powerful words, like dynamite
I’m holding on to what I know is true
Can’t you see the dawn of a new breakthrough?

Common Sense
© Music & words: Jonatan Samuelsson
Don’t sing along with the fools
You know better than that
Monkey see, monkey do
I live for something bigger than myself
Never slow down the pace
When you’re this close to the goal
It’s time to grow old now, people
Don’t get stuck to the TV-screen
And you are…
Maybe a king
Maybe a star
At the top of your world
I don’t know who you are
Maybe a thief
Maybe a fool
Maybe you’re wise
Don’t keep your ear to the track
You can see the train from here
His lessons was not in vain
They made me a wiser fool
And you are…
Maybe a king
Maybe a star
At the top of your world
I don’t know who you are
Maybe a thief
Maybe a fool
Maybe you’re wise
But you need Him
I don’t know how you are
I don’t know how you are…

Fade Away
© Music & words: Lorens Palmgren, Johan Eckeborn, Jonatan Samuelsson, David Johansson
She was only 14 when her daddy moved out
something mama didn’t seemed to care about
Sarah never really asked him why
afraid of the answer – afraid of the lies
Now she’s just a 15
thought she met the guy of her dreams
Thinking to herself “He is the One!”
For him – she was just another girl in a long, long line
No one saw the time she had to spend all by herself
Mummy thought she asked for money when she needed help
With grades like hers you can reach pretty far
Desperate cries for healing
Desperate cries for healing
Empty inside, she whispers goodnight
Holding her breath – cutting herself to sleep
Everything will fade away
Everything will fade away
Everything will fade away
Everything will fade away
Listen to me
Listen to me
Listen to me
Listen to me

You Make Me Sing (La-La-La)
© Music: Jonatan Samuelsson, David Johansson, Johan Eckeborn
Words: Jonatan Samuelsson, Johan Eckeborn
I’ve got a real good reason, reason to sing
‘Cause I’ve been given everything
Each day, each moment from day 1
Eternal life through God’s Son
What a joy I’m feeling
when You are near
What a happy moment
when You are here
(And You make me sing…)
La-la-la
La-la-la-la
La-la-la
La-la-la-la-la-la
I can’t dress my joy in words
how insane
But I’m feeling happy
no words can explain
I believe it like a child
Like back in my younger days
when my hair wasn’t styled
and I had a cute baby-face

Asking You Why
© Music: Peter Dalhoff, Johan Eckeborn
Words: David Johansson, Johan Eckeborn
What if you hadn’t been taken away from me,
when I was three
Where would I be and who would you be for me?
I’m growing tired on the way of supposing
just a call from you would make me stay
I’m asking you why
(please wipe the tear from my eye)
I’m asking you why
Why, Oh why?
Why, I’m asking You why?
I will get up, I will get up
I will try again
Will you support me when I’ve lost a hand?
If I could only see you for one single day
there’s a lot to say
Just a call from you would make me stay

All the Time
© Music & words: Johan Eckeborn
Five to ten, you’re here again
All the time, like you are all the time
You count the words
To beat my kind
All the time, like you do all the time
Sweet the signs, and the noise that you make
But it hurts inside, oh yes it hurts inside
You lost yourself, among the sheep in His herd
And it’s not alright, no it’s not alright
’cause I love you, I love you
I love you, yes I do
