About

After winning first prize in the “Battle of the Bands” at the JesusRock Festival 2022, we were awarded the prize of recording this single. The jury consisted of renowned industry professionals: Nathan Barlowe (Luna Halo, later even Keith Urban), Rebecca “Bex” Sarkar (tour manager for, among others, Guns ‘N’ Roses), Samuel Åhl (Naxos), Josephine Arenius (Naxos).

Three brothers from Marpeco and Soulsonic welcomed us at Nilento Studios outside Gothenburg: Marcus Persson who was a booking agent, Daniel Pherson who was a producer and Joseph Persson (now a technician for Dirty Loops) who was a technician.

Hannah Westin (today Hannah Mörlid) was one of the participants in the TV program Fame Factory, which was a kind of model for Idol. She was also a singer in New Born Soul. We asked her if she wanted to sing a duet with David Johansson on “When Love Became a Name” and she said yes. That recording was made in Uppsala.
